Found some really good gelato shops around Florence during our recent holiday. My Sugar is a great one! Very much enjoyed a cup of pistachio, coffee and salted caramel. Serving size a bit small but everything was so creamy and delicious, had to order a second cup, repeating each of the three flavours. It was that good! Will try to return to My Sugar the next time we are in Florence.
The best ice cream we had in Florence, we stayed on the south side of the river so it was quite a walk to get here but so worth it. The Hazelnut ice cream is really clean and has a fantastic flavour but the other flavours are all great (mandarin and yuzu sorbet so good) been here 3 times in five days. Good price too.
We walked past and saw this place displaying an award for winning a gelato competition in Florence. Can confirm they deserved the win as their gelato was amazing. Creamy and smooth - probably best one I had in my whole trip in Italy. The prices were also extremely reasonable with the small being around 2 euros and you could choose 2 flavours. We had the pistachio and black sesame. Simply sensational.
